While CVs are more common in other countries. Take a closer look at both.

The Resume is a brief document that describes your education, skills, and experience. When applying for a job in the U.S., it’s usually one or two pages long. A resume’s main goal is to provide employers with a brief outline of your credentials.

The Curriculum Vitae should include your education, professional experience, publications, and awards. CVs are used when applying for academic or research positions. They are also common in Europe and other parts of the world.

So which document should you use? If you’re applying for a job in the United States, it’s best to use a resume. If you’re applying for a job in another country, it’s best to use a CV. And if you’re not sure which document to use, it’s always best to err on caution and submit both a resume and CV.
